After a strong cup of coffee (my favorite is the French Mocha blend from the Porto Rico Importing Co. – buy it here), and after feeding my adorable dog, Tucker, I like to check my schedule and start my day reminding myself why I work in Higher Education: to energize, encourage, and empower.
I have been a Student Affairs Educator (post-masters) since 2018, working in Housing at a mid-sized, public, institution. My favorite parts of my job are working on a Residential Curriculum that enhances the student experience through education outside of the classroom, training and development, and supervising students and graduate students.
