Vice President of Member Development, January 2015-December 2015
Nominations Chair, January 2015- December 2015
Director of Ritual, August 2015- December 2015
Gold Star Chair, January 2014- December 2014
As the Vice President of Member Development for Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, I was responsible for holding events for the chapter of around forty women that bettered our members. Throughout the year, I organized and executed a LinkedIn workshop with a career counselor, a resume workshop with a career counselor, and an end of semester reflection with our faculty advisor. I also oversaw the Director of Ritual, the Director of Academic Success and the Director of New Member Education.
As Nominations Chair, I was collected and counted all votes that occurred within the chapter. I also compiled a nominations committee that was responsible for reviewing all applications and forming an elections slate to present to the chapter to be voted upon. The slate was compiled of sisters who the committee felt best fit the executive positions.
As the Director of Ritual, I was responsible for the proper execution of all ritual ceremonies for the sorority. This included proper set-up, proper execution by all parties involved, and proper storage of all materials. During my time as Director of Ritual, I also planned and executed a retreat that assisted sisters in learning more about the history behind our ritual ceremonies and the importance of treating ceremonies with respect.
As Gold Star Chair, I collaborated with all members of the sorority to assemble an accreditations binder in accordance with the Department of Greek Life’s guidelines. I also collaborated with the Gold Star Chairs of all other greek organizations on campus to host events that brought our chapter together with the other greek organizations. These events included attending Lehigh University’s presentation of the Vagina Monologues with our campus chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha, attending pumpkin picking and a corn maze with our campus chapter of Omicron Gamma Omega, and attending the Take Back the Night Rally with our campus chapters of Sigma Sigma Sigma and Zeta Tau Alpha.
